It is my belief that an excellent performance requires much more than simply playing requests, it is being able to read a crowd, create fireworks, and paint a picture through music from beginning to end.

I am the owner of Positive Energy Productions and have been a full time San Diego wedding DJ, corporate DJ, and professional MC for over 25 years. I have professionally DJ'd over 2000 weddings & events. I take great pride in doing an excellent job for each and every client. You work personally with me from your first meeting all the way through to your last dance. It is my job to create your perfect wedding or event...

I understand how important this event is to you and will make every effort to guarantee you get exactly what you are looking for. I am NOT that cliché DJ who will perform a ton of corny "interactive" events, constantly be on the microphone, or do anything that would embarrass you or any of your guests. I focus on playing great music selections as your DJ, taking care of all your announcements and events as your MC or Master Of Ceremonies, as well as, keeping your celebration on schedule through experienced coordination. I will do my absolute best to take care of everything start to finish - no questions asked.

I do much more than just play the music or make a few announcements. During your meeting I will explain the many extra things I do to make sure everything is well taken care of. I always listen to you, answer all of your questions, and incorporate your ideas and personality with my 25+ years of experience at thousands of successful San Diego weddings and events.

This is my full time career but music & the art of the DJ have been a personal passion of mine for many years. I was introduced to DJ's through electronic music back in 1990 and started to DJ in 1994. I helped promote some major San Diego clubs, raves, festivals, and events throughout the 1990's and I was always inspired by many of the world famous DJ's I spoke with backstage. I graduated college with a degree in biology but decided to follow this passion and start Positive Energy Productions in 1996.

I seamlessly beat-mix songs from one to the next. No awkward jumbled transitions or small pauses of silence between songs. Your guests will not realize when one song ends and another song begins. The rhythm continues... This is similar to what you would hear going out to a club. The large majority of "Wedding DJ's" do not seamlessly beat-mix music. I also have the knowledge and ability to "read the crowd" and get your guests of all ages involved in the fun by playing a unique blend of music, ranging from traditional songs to the most current hits.
